What is Software Testing ?

Testing involves operation of a system or application under controlled conditions and evaluating the results. Testing should intentionally attempt to make things go wrong to determine if things happen when they shouldn't or things don't happen when they should.

‘Testing’ is a Process in which the defect are identified, isolated, subjected for rectification and ensure that the product is defect free in order to produce a quality product in the end and hence customer satisfaction.

Software Testing includes the following:

  • Find out bugs, errors or defects in the software or web application.

  • Ensure the productivity and quality of the product.

  • Validate and verify the functionality of the software.

  • To check out of code as well as execution of that code in various environment and conditions.
